Our first patient was a 75 years old man with prostate problems. An operation performed by us improved his quality of life considerably.

A 65 year old lady with breast cancer was operated and all her medical expenses were borne by us.

A 35 year old woman, the sole bread winner of the family, had severe debilitating pain from acute lumber disc prolapse. This prevented her from working. She was successfully operated and returned to normal life. The spinal surgery was one of the most expensive procedures and they were borne fully by us.

A 21 year old medical student had cardiac arrest and was later hospitalised at Apollo, Chennai. Unfortunately he died despite intensive care. We helped waive some of the expenses towards his treatment. His parents donated his organs despite their irreparable loss. We pay our respects to the family.

A 21 year old medical student had been admitted in the intensive care unit with the diagnosis of Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (life-threatening disease that causes bleeding everywhere). We partially aided his care and he fortunately recovered well.

A 14 year old boy with osteomyelitis of the humerus (severe infection of the arm bone) was operated as an emergency. The boy's life was saved. This was our first case out side Tamilnadu and was performed by one of our members. We bore the entire cost of the procedure.

A 53 year old man admitted with coma was found to have subdural haematoma (blood clot in the covering of the brain) and needed urgent operation to save his life. He had medical conditions which prevented him from having surgery under general anaesthesia. He was operated under local anaesthesia and patient recovered dramatically. This was one of the truly life saving operations and we are all happy to say that he was discharged successfully. The treatment costs were partially borne by us.
